By God’s grace, after the first anniversary of the establishment of the Little Shepherd Foundation, we have come to realize that in the Chinese community in DFW area , there are far more people in need of help than we have imagined. Therefore, we need more caring volunteers to join us in helping more people in need and working together to be the salt and light in our communities.

We are grateful to work with so many caring individuals, families, churches, organizations, and companies. Their tireless service helps us take care of those in need beyond our own reach.

For the safety of all our people served and volunteers, we conduct background checks on every co-workers and volunteers of the Little Shepherd Foundation. Therefore, we ask that you provide the following information and pass the background check before you can become our volunteer. Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Service Projects

1. Caring Volunteers

Care for families in need, including cancer patients, the elderly, the weak, the sick, the disabled, single parents, widows, widowers, and families with special needs.

2. Funeral Assistance

Assist with funeral services, such as coordination, photography, floral arrangements, recitation and song leading, etc.

3. Writers Assistant

Write and proofread copies for press releases, quarterly newsletters, event posters, website optimization, advertising pages, etc.

4. Communication Assistance

Follow ministry arrangements to send messages promoting Little Shepherds through Email and social media such as WeChat, Line, Facebook, etc.

5. Event Assistance

Responsible for coordinating various activities and events, including event preparation, promotion, venue layout, operation, meal preparation, personnel registration, etc.

6. Document Management

Write, collect, organize, and store documents and related information for various ministries.

7. Transportation Assistance

Coordinate in providing transportation services to people in need, including the sick, the elderly, people not able to drive or without cars, etc.

8. Administrative Assistant

Perform general administrative duties including office duties, answering incoming calls, checking mailboxes, tidying up offices, etc.

9. Human Resource Management

Personnel information collation, trainings, background checks, recruitment of volunteers, etc.

10. Meal Preparation

Assist with meals, cooking, cleaning up the kitchen and maintaining event spaces.

11. Maintenance Assistance

Assist the elderly, the sick and families in need with minor home repairs and maintenance work

12. Special Needs Program Assistance

Every third Saturday of the month from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Respite Night programs to watch and accompany children with special needs and their family members
