A Brief History of the Little Shepherd Foundation
In February 2021, a historical winter storm hit the entire state of Texas with deep freeze and power outages. Many people went without electricity and heat for days, and some with pipe bursting situations. Families with electricity opened their houses to accommodate friends and neighbors in need. Through this winter disaster, some Christians saw the needs in our community. Guided and moved by the Holy Spirit, a group of Christians initiated the plan to care and serve the local community. On March 9, 2021, they founded the Little Shepherd Foundation as a non-profit organization to collaborate with local churches and people who share the same vision to provide various types of community services to help individuals and families in need.
Our mission is to care for and serve our community with the love of God and the servant’s heart for Jesus Christ.
Our current services include seminars and workshops, medical/insurance assistance, Social Security benefits consultation, cancer prevention education and cancer patient support, transportation assistance, meal assistance, support for children and families with special needs, employment assistance, elder care, new immigrant assistance, end of life/funeral assistance, disaster relief assistance, and community service cooperation. All the services and consultation of Little Shepherd Foundation are provided free of charge.
We cordially invite you to join the Little Shepherd’s ministry and together we serve others with a wholehearted commitment to our faith in God’s kingdom. “Truly I tell you, these things you have done to the least of my brethren, and you have done them to me.” Matthew 25:40
